Panda Illustration
This panda postcard illustration is an experiment I conducted to see if I could achieve a watercolor painting on a digital software. I started off as a fine arts major doing traditional watercolor and acrylic paintings, so I was curious to know if I could accomplish the same style in a different medium. I painted a Giant Panda leaning against bamboo trees while she eats as her cub looks eagerly at her yearning to have a bite. I chose this composition in admiration of my little sister who stares at me with hungry eyes when I eat in front of her. It was challenging to use the watercolor brush in Adobe Photoshop compared to the other brushes I normally use. It was especially difficult to get the precision I wanted when adding small details like the highlights of the eyes and the texture of the fur, but I still enjoyed the process.
